I thought I should do a quick overview for the last week of all our company. I was staying on top of this last summer, but then thought the posts were a little monotonous, and therefore stopped posting about it. However, now I wish that I had kept up with it all because it impacted our lives and our assembly in such an important way.
Saturday: Bro. Billy and Bro. Bodie came over from Washington. They spent the day and evening, and Bro. Billy spent the night.
Saturday evening: Bro. Rusty stopped by to visit for a bit and dropped off some chai tea powder that he bought for me from Washington. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever.
Saturday evening later: Bro. Matt, Sis. Tisha and their four kids came over to visit and we played games. It was an eventful and busy day.
Sunday: I didn't feel well (pregnancy related) and so Sis. Mary and Hailey stopped by to visit for a while. Isaiah gave his hand to be baptised so after church the majority of the brethren gathered here and then we all headed out to the lake.
After the baptism Den and I headed home so Isaiah could get dressed, and then we needed to go buy some foot washing bowls, and while at Target we ran into Bro. Dravin and Sis. Krista and their three kids. They are from Washington, and don't get out much, so it was pretty shocking. They had tried to go to church with us at 3pm, but since we moved buildings and times they missed out on meeting. It was amazing that the Lord worked it out that we were able to run in to one another. They came over and visited for a few hours before the ordinance supper. It was a real treat!
Later that evening, but before the ordinance supper Sis. Marisela came over to watch me make the unleavened bread. So the three of us sisters enjoyed visiting in the kitchen while preparing it.
Went to the ordinance supper that night.
Monday night: The church had a fasting and prayer meeting for the sick.
Tuesday night: Bro. Lee and Sis. Cherrie flew in from Oklahoma to visit some of the sick in other assemblies. They spent the night with us, but left bright and early in the morning to go to church in another assembly.
Thursday: Bro. Lee and Sis. Cherrie are due back in here to stay the rest of the week with us. They will be heading back home Monday. We have church tonight, and we shall see how the rest of the week unfolds.

Where Have I Been? hehehe
Hi all! I thought I had better put up a quick post saying that we are well. Your comments and your emails are always so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you. It has been a while since I have posted. I have just been busy, tired, and at times overwhelmed with everything. So I thought I would take a day or two break that turned into a week. How does time do that? Like rabbits it mulitplies in a short amount of time. hehehe
We went to the Oregon Campout over Labor Day weekend. We had a really nice time. I felt good for most of the weekend, although Sunday was a doozy, and I mostly stayed in bed. Thankfully, we were given a little apartment above the kitchen that had a/c, full kitchen, bath, and 2 bedrooms. We shared it with Rusty and Mary. I felt quite spoiled. It honestly wasn't like camping at all.
The other side of it was that when we got home I was exhausted. I spent the next couple of days laying low, except for schoolwork. I am really thankful that I had that little break, and I am feeling better today.
We had a bunch of brethren come in this last weekend. We had a really nice meeting with them. The singing was so nice to hear. We barely had enough chairs, but besides kids sitting on the floor, everyone had a seat. We really have to find a better place to assemble.
We went to dinner at Izzy's afterwards. It was quite a crowd of us, so Den and I had reserved the banquet room. It turned out to be very relaxing and enjoyable. They were all so kind and fun to chat with. I look forward to getting to know them better. At the end of the meal, when everyone was getting ready to pay the ticket we discovered that someone had paid the entire bill. It was a substantial bill. I believe it was $460.00. It really moved me that some generous person did this for our little church group. May the Lord bless them for their kindness.
So I am back. I will try to be better about my blog. I am trying to find my rhythm right now with homeschooling too, though. So hang in there, with me!

We Are The Horse Shoe
It is late. We turned in a little while ago. The bedroom is pitch black, and this allows my mind to wander. This seems to be the time that I am able to be tuned in to the Lord like no other time of the day.
We are waiting for Bro. Rusty, Sis. Mary, and their three little darlings to come in. They aren't due in until around 2am. We have left the light on, the front door unlocked, and the guest room ready for them. One of the joys of a comfortable relationship. As I began to say my prayers I remembered a vision Den had several years ago when we were very young. The vision was long, detailed, and laid out our future with the Lord in many ways. We have thought of this vision many times through our life, and have pondered the meaning of it often.
One detail of the vision that the Lord put on my heart tonight was the part of Den watching a blacksmith. The blacksmith was unaware of Den's presence as he was laboring, for the tool that he was making was representative of Dennis. At first, Den thought the blacksmith was making a sword. It was long and dark as the blacksmith was trying it in the fire, and reshaping it with a hammer. The work was long and intensive. As Den continued to watch the blacksmith work he began to see the true shape of the metal, and it was that of a horse shoe. It was not a glamorous sword at all, but one of a mundane horse shoe that was to be trodden underfoot.
Well of course, of our flesh there is always disappointment when discovering that you are not the shiny two edged sword. I mean who doesn't want to be the glorious sword that fights in a battle and gets quite a bit of glory? Who would choose to be the horse shoe that was under a horse and stuck in the mire and the mud on many a journey? Well this vision has always been good for us. It has kept us humble, and gave us a clear understanding of our labor in life. We are the horse shoe.
So what does that mean? Well tonight I felt like it was a little clearer. As I laid in my bed, in the darkness, waiting for my brethren to arrive, I began to think about our work here, and also in days past. Den and I have lived in almost every assembly in the northwest. Most of the time not for very long, but long enough to either do a labor or build some beautiful bonds with those that live there. We have seen some wonderful, amazing things, and we have seen things that have made us cry and weep to a depth I didn't believe possible. Life isn't always easy when you are a horse shoe, and it certainly hasn't been glorious. So how does that tie into now? Well I began to think of the horse. The horse is the worker of the Lord, maybe its the spirit....I don't begin to fully understand, but this horse has been sent to do a work. For instance, coming to this place to start anew. In order for this horse to travel it has needed a horse shoe, well 4 to be exact. One that will help it achieve it's goal. When the Lord said for us to go we had to be willing. We had to be willing to get a little mud, dung, water, and all things dirty underneath, and behind us, in order to come.
We may not be remembered as a glorious sword, but we understand that there is a need for shoe. We are that shoe. One that isn't often seen under the foot of the horse, but one that is necessary. We are all workers for the Lord. Wherever he calls us to be we need to be willing to be. Whatever capacity He calls us to be used, we must be willing to be used. Even if at the end of the day the master is rooting out the dirt between the hoof and the shoe, that is us. I am thankful that we are a part of the journey. I am thankful that we are on the horse at all. I am thankful that he remembered to put us on a hoof, so that we can gain eternal life.

Church At Our House
Church was at our house, this last Sunday morning. It seems that the bank community room, that we use, was full, and unable to accommodate us. So, Den and I stepped up, and volunteered to have it at our home. Luckily, the formal dining room and living room was perfect, for the size of people that attended.

Monday...........
Today is Monday. Lee and Cherrie and their 3 munchkins have taking off to enjoy the Coast for the day. It is a gorgeous day and I am confident that they will have a fabulous time. We have really enjoyed them this last week and a half. I feel like its been jam packed and it is sort of fuzzy and blurry. I do believe that they will be moving here soon. This will be a great joy to our family, and a huge strength to our church. It may not be until January, but as quickly as time has flown by in the last several months, I am sure it will be here before we knew it.
I wasn't going to type the fact that they were moving here, but the news is already out and getting back to me out here....lol News does that don't ya know?!
I have felt amazingly good. I do have a headache today, go figure! hehehe However, I don't want to forget to praise the Lord for his great mercy to me with this pregnancy so far. I can't believe how good I have felt lately.
Very soon, the house will be quiet again. Well as quiet as five boys and a hubby will allow. That seems sort of strange to think about really. I just can't believe how much the Lord has blessed us here. We have had so much company that we rarely have had a week all to ourselves. I stand amazed at how much the Lord revealed to Den and I before we moved here, and how much of it has came to pass so far. We do live in a spiritual world and if we want to know what the Lord thinks or what He wants us to know than He will show us...........but be READY!

Oklahoma Company
We have company in from Oklahoma. Bro. Lee and Sis. Cherrie and their 3 kids are in. They have came out this far to stay 11 days, well 2 of those days are traveling time, really. We have stayed busy.
Saturday night they got in really really late. I was feeeling sick (morning sickness) and hit the hay so that I would be up to the next morning with everyone. They were great about it since they came in just in time to go to bed themselves. Den made sure they were comfy and set.
The next morning, we fixed waffles and visited. I felt pretty good, although not fantastic. I have to say in comparison to other mornings it went rather well. Then Bro. Sean came by and the three men took off to do a little shopping. Can you believe it? The guys left us girls and the kids behind to hit the department store.....hehehe We fixed some lunch and they went to church. I had planned on going, but I had a yucky feeling in my side all day and ended up having to lay down frequently. After church we had a huge crew over for dinner. We had our family (7), Lee and Cherrie (3 kids), Bro. Matt and Sis. Tisha (their 4 kids), Bro. Sean, and Bro. Walt over for supper. It went very nice. We had a HUGE pork roast stuffed with garlic and rosemary. (That was Den's doing, and he knows what he is doing when it comes to gigantic slabs of meat.) We had homemade mac and cheese, green beans, potatoes, carrots and Sis. Tisha brought over some homemade bread. Yum!
Later that night our older boys came home from a get together. They had a super time and brought home Andy for an overnight stay.
Monday morning Sis. Chantel came in. You see, Bro. Lee is her brother. She spent Monday and Tuesday with us. We really enjoyed her, and we did some singing and recording. As usual, it was very relaxed and enjoyable. After dinner on Tuesday, she headed back home and took her neice and nephew back home with her for a few days.
Today, I rested a lot. I feel really tired, but amazingly good with my morning sickness. I want to thank you all for the prayers. I was so worried about how I would be able to handle company with severe morning sickness, but the Lord has given me some relief. However, today I felt like an exhausted lump on a log.
River hurt his big toe in a scooter incident. He almost pulled off the nail and gashed it pretty good. It has been properly cleaned and will be well bandaged again before bedtime. God had a lot of mercy, but Den came home from work early to investigate the injury. So after we took care of River, us adults and Samuel (their baby) went driving around exploring the countryside, in hopes to persuade them to move here. They aren't budging in case any of you are curious......hehehe Nonetheless there is power in prayer and I'm praying like a hurricane.....LOL After our driving adventure Bro. Matt and Sis. Tisha invited them over for dinner, so that is where they are currently.
Friday night, Dale and Chantel are due back in for the weekend with the kids. I don't know how that will all unfold, but I'm sure I will keep you posted. For now, I'm sure you understand why it is that I am not posting like my typical, mad, woman, self.
Lots of love,
Trina

Latest News!
A lot has been going on this week. We have had a lot of company! Rusty and Mary came and spent the 13th-16th with us. We always enjoy them!! That is a given. I would have wrote more about our weekend experience together, but right after they left we got more company and its been super busy.
So, July 17th-21st Sis. Charlene and her five grandkids, Bro. David and Sis. Collette and their son came in to town. Today, (Saturday) they are hoping to go to the Oregon Coast. We have been wanting to go, however our plans are at a standstill because............
I have morning sickness.
Yep, you read that right.....hehehe This week it has officially begun, and I am not feeling well. I always have a pretty good bout of it for a few months, but its always a good sign of a healthy baby (Good Lord willing). I cautiously share this news since last Fall I miscarried. However, all seems to be good currently and this is one of the many reasons I have been out of blogging action. Lots of company, and the morning sickness battle this week has left me with little energy...lol.
Nonetheless, I hope to pick up blogging full swing again next week. Thank you for the sweet emails. I have really enjoyed them, although I haven't really had time to respond to them. Just know that all is well, but we are on a new journey waiting for our newest addition to arrive in March.
P.S. Prayers are always appreciated for the little one that is waiting to make his debut.

They'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain....
Well as you all know I love Miss Marykathryn, and her family will be coming in tomorrow to spend the weekend! I can hardly wait!! We haven't seen each other since our little girly getaway, and that has been far too long, especially for two friends who literally saw one another EVERYDAY!
I thought about how I need to get my house really clean, buy the groceries, throw all my laundry in the wash, you know all the typical things you do when you have guests coming in, but then I have this sweet feeling of "who cares". I know she doesn't!
They were due to come in late Thursday night, but Rusty has to work that day. After all, its the hottest season of the year, and being that he is a heating and air guy this makes this trip extra extra special. So we will be thankful that they are coming in Friday, or any other day of the week.
So the countdown has began at this house. Abram has came to me several times to tell me that they will be here the day after tomorrow, but how much better for him to say tomorrow.
Therefore, I am up at the crack of dawn (insomnia issues lately), and I am thinking of all the things that I would like to do with them. Our time is limited so we will be shoving as much in to this short amount of time as possible. I am not a "stay up late" kind of girl, AT ALL! However, I will be keeping these peepers peeled 'til at least midnight.....hahaha I may not be tons of fun, and I may be laying my heavy head on the arm of the couch, but by golly I will be up enjoying every minute of it with them!!! LOL
Love ya Mary, and hurry up!

Life Is In The Small Things
Okay, it's time!! I can't leave my blog forever, now can I? lol
The problem with abandoning the blog for that long is that a lot goes on behind the scenes and then I don't know where to begin when I come back. So let me just give you a brief run down. Wow, doesn't this sound like an exciting post already? hahaha
First of all, Den took Friday off since he has been putting in some crazy hours. I don't care what we do together, I just enjoy spending the day with him. We seem to be addicted to coffee shops and book stores. We love the downtown Powell Books. We get there, split up and meet back every once in a while until we are ready to move on to the next phase of our date. We are wonderfully CHEAP dates, that way. lol
My Mom came in Saturday. I hadn't seen her in almost a year. The person I was most excited for her to see was Roman. Obviously, he has done the most changing. It's always fun to get her perspective on my children. Who they look like, who they act like, and all that good stuff. She put forth a lot of effort towards him, and he snuggled up with her and watched his favorite movie, "Curious George", while we BBQed. It was incredibly sweet, and did my heart a lot of good!
Monday, Chantel and Andy came in. Isaiah had spent over a week with Andy. Chantel and I have the tradition of letting the boys spend one week with each other throughout the year. This time Isaiah went to her house. He loves it!! So she brought him back, and spent the night. I have to say that I love Chantel and I's simplistically easy way around each other. I know that she will tell me how she feels, and what she wants to do without worrying about anything. I love the ease we have with one another. We grew up with each other from age 11, and have a whole lot of memories chugged into our 30 something lives.
Tuesday, all the sisters from the area met at the zoo. It was "Two dollar Tuesday", which made it affordable for all of us to take our huge families. All of our teens met up there too, and we didn't see much of them again, until it was time to eat, and than (by golly) they knew where to find us...hehehe
The zoo was so hot it was a little over the top. Two dollar Tuesday just happened to be on the hottest day of the year! We all packed lunches for a picnic, and we meandered around the big beautiful zoo. I think I may have been more excited about some of the stuff we saw than my boys. Roman wanted to be held in the sweltering heat the whole time, instead of riding in the jogging stroller, however Chantel was a huge help to me (as usual).
The only, small, down side was that we really didn't get a chance to do any serious visiting, with the sisters who were at the zoo. However, we all found a small chunk of shade and squeezed our coolers, strollers, wagons and children into it. While we did this, we ate, and swapped food. We happily chowed, and went on our way again. The goodness of life is in the small things, and I see that. I'm so thankful for all the small moments that fill my life!

Sunday BBQ
I realized that I needed to post about Sunday and all the company that came in before I forgot.
After Den and I went to the coast on Saturday, we got up Sunday morning and raced home for church. Den and I had invited all the brethren from our little assembly over for a bbq after meeting. When we arrived at church the place was packed. What a huge blessing to see our little meeting room so full of brethren.
So here is the list of people besides our home brethren:
Bro. Lloyd and Sis. Christina
Bro. Travis and Sis. Wynona and their three children
Bro. Dale and Sis. Chantel and Andy
Bro. Walt N.
Sis. Linda M.
We were using all the chairs that were available to us and it felt amazing.
After church, everyone came over for hamburgers and hotdogs. Den stayed busy on the grill outside, and the sisters and I stayed busy setting out side dishes and condiments. It was awesome!
We counted all the people that filled the house that day and we came up with 32! We thought we may feel alone here, but the Lord is providing us with lots of good company. Thank you Lord for filling my guest book!

Full Social Calendar
Our little pink goodie bag for Chris!
The boys are getting ready to head down to a graduation party. We spent some time yesterday picking out a little something for the graduate, and River decided that the graduate, although a boy, should have his package wrapped in pink, pink, and more pink. I laughed and said, "Well if you are gonna go pink, than definitely go all out!" So we bought a daisy gift card, pink gift bag, with pink striped tissue paper, and a some floral stickers to decorate the bag with. The graduate should be able to appreciate this little token from my boys considering he wore a "Dumb or Dumber" tux to his prom, a few weeks ago. Boy howdy was that funny, yet homely! So this should be right up his alley! hehehe
We got a call at 9:30pm last night. It was a close friend of the boys, and the son of the sister (Elaine) who I wrote about on my birthday. His name is Billy. He wanted to know if he, and a few of the other guys from our church, could come spend the night at our house that night. They, too, were headed down for the graduation. River asked us if they could, and then gave the boys the go ahead to come on down. My boys were thrilled to have more friends spend the night, and more friends to take another mini trip with.
I am so glad that since we have moved here that the boys are staying so busy with church activities, and with some really good kids from our church. The boys are so happy and busy. It's been a long time since there plate has been so full socially. This was one of the things that Den and I prayed for. We really hoped that the Lord would watch over our boys as we moved to this place. That it wouldn't feel like we were in isolation, but that they could get to know all the assemblies from all over this area. I am thrilled!
So we got up this morning to see 8 boys sitting on the couch, in front of the TV, waiting for breakfast. Den and I made coffee and our old staple of waffles. The boys would grab their waffles, one by one, and I thought about the fact that this is what good teenage memories are made of. I am so grateful to be a part of it for these kids, and that the boys are on the inside looking out, instead of the outside looking in. If ya know what I mean!

Close Friends Popped In!
Saturday morning we got up expecting them to be arriving soon, but their 17 year old son had got into a car accident the night before, and so they had to delay the trip by a few more hours. This gave Den and I time to head out to buy another couch. We needed one for our living room. We had the red sectional in my family room, by the TV, but this wasn't great for ALL the company. We needed to have a place for the kids to do stuff, and a place for the adults to sit and visit in peace. So we found one. A pretty, velvety, burgundy one and it looks great. I will try to put a picture up with this post a little bit later today.
So while we were out couch hunting Bro. Doyle stopped by our house. The boys called us to let us know, so we came home with the couch and visited for a bit. Then we still needed to replenish our groceries. After all, this was our 3rd family this week. So Bro. Doyle stayed at our home while we went to the store, and he waited for the visiting family to arrive.
Bro. Conn, Sis. Nancy and kids arrived right when we pulled up with our groceries. We have had a great time with them. We had promised the Outback if they ever came to visit, so that was the first thing we had to do. We kept the kids all home, babysitting, with pizza and movies, so it was an adults night only. Then Sunday morning we took them to coast to see the tide pools, and they all got into that frigid water with the temperature only being 58' degrees outside (All but Nancy and I). Crazy I say! Sunday meeting doesn't start til 3pm, so after the ocean we hurried back home to put on our dresses and skedaddle out the door to church. We had a nice little meeting, although Roman was a bit of a grouch....*sigh*
Then we came home and had a BBQ. It was very nice and relaxing. Nancy and I ventured off to Starbucks for our second experience.....hehehe, and then we came home and recorded some hymns together. She loves to sing and play the piano, so this was a real treat for both of us.
Now it's Monday morning, and they will be getting up to greet the morning here, shortly, and headed for home. It was so very nice to have them here, and I hope they come back VERY soon!

Keeping Track of Company
I was talking to my sister (Mrs. Martin) and she had came up with the genius idea of keeping a list of the company we have had, and our traveling that we have been experiencing. We have only lived here, well let's see....we are starting on our 7th week, and we have been blessed with lots of activity (not that we don't stay plenty busy on our own, but this is the extra activities tied to hospitality). Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by it, but I always feel better for it. So I am going to keep a little list of company that comes in, or if we have traveled to visit with anyone. I think for now I will just put it under a label of "Guest Book". Not all of you will find it very interesting, but it's good for me to remember. Also, for some of you who read my blog and know the people I will mention, you can keep track too.
So today will be that....a quick trip down my faded-post pregnancy brain-memory lane. So if I have forgot someone or something just know I am not forgetting you intentionally, it's just my weak minded mommy brain....lol.
Okay digging out my calendar, so give me a sec......
Alrighty, here we go......
