2:33pm Came And Went...

Well as most of you guys probably guessed 2:30pm rolled around and there was 0 improvement. It was quite disappointing. In fact, I was so sick that I didn't even feel well enough to get off the couch to answer the telephone. I drifted in and out of restless, fevered sleep all day and than all night.

Saturday morning was the big tournament, and I knew that Mary was counting on me to help out with that, but as I raised this old body out of bed I knew I was in trouble. I told Den that I was definitely going, but he gave me a look, with raised eyebrows, that led me to believe that I looked as bad as I felt.

Determined, I asked him to grab my jeans, for I was too tired to retrieve them myself. He gently handed them to me, and I sluggishly tugged them up only to fall back to the bed to catch my breath. Isn't it weird how when you are sick, and all you do is lay around, you lose so much strength. After lifelessly waiting there, I then teetered back to my feet and tried to put on a shirt. Den asked me if that was what I was wearing, and I said I didn't care what I looked like. He laughed and said, "Okaaay." Stumbling to the bathroom I barely recognized the face looking back at me, and I found myself leaning on the counter in the middle of my basic routine. This is when I came to the conclusion that I wasn't going anywhere. I kept thinking of the older lady who always runs the tournaments with us, and how I could be the beginning of her deathwish. Yes, I could be the mom in the paper that everyone would say, "Yeah...she's the one who started the town epidemic. She was handing us corndogs with her fluey flesh!" lol

The boys were going to take Levi and Abram down to the tournament anyway, but once they got down there Abram was complaining of feeling quite sick. Abram was saying that he had a fever, but it was because River had turned the heater in the suburban up too high. After awhile, they decided that the problem was worse than first feared, and they quickly returned him home, and from there the tournament was a distant memory.

So today is Sunday, and I FINALLY feel better. I actually felt well enough to take a shower and put a little mascara on...woohooo! Abram, on the otherhand, has a ways to go to be at the stage that I am. I have had the windows and doors open to try to air the house out of all these wicked germs. Thank the Lord for sunny spring days!

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I hate when I get so sick that it stops from doing something. I know exactly how you feel...I get dressed and my husband looks at me lovingly and says you can't cough on people, you're staying home. The spirit was willing but the flesh was weak.

You know your sick when you don't care what your dressed in and your husbands gives you the look that says, Not that outfit!

Well, wearing my little breathing mask when I visited here last time...didn't help! LOL! Sis and I both woke up Saturday morning with a horrendous case of the flu! I still haven't made it to get out of pajamas mode yet.

I'm glad that you are feeling better. :)

Glad you stayed home.. Hope you are both feeling better now. Uck!

I can't imagine you looking bad. I on the other hand, have to shower, curl my hair (unless I just got a perm) and make sure my zits aren't glowing - and I'm 42.
