It hit me out of the clear blue sky. I was just minding my own business when my body began to have a little ache here and a little ache there. I tried to ignore it, but then my stomach began to complain too. That is when I stated the obvious, "I'm getting sick."
Den had taken off the day, so we could make some serious progress on cleaning and organizing our property, but when I woke up beside him, I looked up at the ceiling and whined that I didn't feel good. He said he was sorry, but then we went about our morning as if I was talking about a bad dream, and we could put it behind us.
At first it didn't seem that bad, I figured I could get grit my teeth and push through, after all I didn't have TIME to be sick. After breakfast, that didn't settle very well, we were headed out the door to purchase packing boxes and to borrow a truck from Mary for our trailer. As we drove down the mountain, the weird pains that strike the odd joints in your body, began to play me like an xylophone. First I had a pain in my wrist, then my ear, and after a while I lost track of where all the pain was coming from. I just weakly moaned, "I need to go home, and soon."
Once we were back home again, the flu began to rear it's ugly head. As soon as I walked in the door I fell down on to the couch, and begged for a quilt, that was promptly brought to me. From there it went down hill. This bug hit so fast, and so hard that I honestly didn't even know what hit me.
Finally my fever broke, and even though I still feel like death warmed over, I have hope that by tomorrow I will be as good as new. After all, Mary and I are running the entrie concession stand for the Little Guy Wrestling Tournment on Saturday. So I have decided that I will be done with this little vicious bug at around 2:33pm today, so that gives me enough time to get ready for the impeding responsiblities that lie ahead of me. What? You don't think it works like that? Well I guess we shall see...It's 9:09am and ticking....................lol
