Okay I will confess...... I LOVE getting stuff in the mail. I'm not really sure why though. I ordered some baby clothes from Gymboree a few days ago, I knew exactly what I ordered, what it looked like, but you would have thought it was Christmas. The way I tore into the box when it arrived, was down right embarassing if someone were watching me. Its hard to keep at least one foot on the floor, while the plastic and paper is flying.....LOL.
However it doesnt even have to be a box, although those truly are the best, it can just be a letter. When I peel open an envelope, I savor every word that is on that page. I will even read it again later that day, or the next time I see it lying around. Where does this intense thrill come from? Does anyone else have this adrenalin rush? Or am I alone in standing at the Post Office, waiting for the mail truck to arrive?

I love getting the mail!!! I got one of Mary's gymboree outfits from Ebay today and it was soo exciting. However i only look forward to getting the mail when i know i have something fun coming. Hehehe , otherwise it is just bills.
Hey Trina....you sound just like me...when I order something online or buy something off Ebay...I count the days till it comes. We just redecorated Luke's room with big boy stuff and I bought most of it off of Ebay. So for like a week staight I got a package in the mail everyday. It is so fun. Sometimes I think I buy stuff on ebay just to get the packages in the mail. It must run in my family, cause I write my grandparents letters every month and my mom said that the highlight of there day (everyday) is when the mail comes...they just sit and wait for it everyday hoping that there is something interesting or surprising for them. I don't know where the high comes from..but it is definately exciting!!!
I love getting letters in the mail. However, in the age of email, it doesn't happen as much anymore. I love Christmas time when everyone sends out their Christmas cards, with letters and pictures in them. So fun!

I love getting letters and packages, too. I used to have lots of pen pals when I was a kid. As a matter of fact, I just reconnected with one of my pen pals after more than 15 years! I found her on Classmates and we've since been emailing.
I'm like Nikki...I love getting Christmas cards with family updates and pictures.
I am exactly the same way with mail and packages! It's probably partly because with e-mail, REAL mail is now so rare!
