As Quiet As A Mouse

It's pitch black outside and dinner is over. Den and all the boys are out for the evening...well all but Boaz and myself. This is a rare moment in this big old house. This house is used to a lot more noise and activity and it's creaking with questions as to why it is so quiet inside.

Levi stoked my little woodstove nice and hot before he and River took off to meet the brethren over at Matt and Tisha's for some American Idol. The puppy stopped whining about being put in his crate, and all we have going is the television that is running a cartoon for Mr. Boaz. Life is good, as I sit on my red couch typing on Levi's laptop computer.

Knowing that Abram was ever so excited about going to his first Cub Scouts meeting with his Daddy made me feel so pleased. Anytime we, as parents, make our children happy is a good day. Now when we can make them all happy at the end of the day we know we have to stop and count our blessings. So that is what I am doing.....taking this moment to count my blessings because everyone is happy and content. I mean I don't think we take as much time appreciating the little things in this life....I know I don't. *big joyous sigh*

I'm glad you're all happy. Keep counting those blessings. It sounds to me like your sickness must be gone (for the day?). Good for you! I hope you can make it to the wedding.

I'm glad that you've been able to find sometime to relax and enjoy some quiet time! I can't wait until we are able to see more of you. You'll have to let us know how Abram enjoyed his Cub Scout meeting. It is a special feeling when you know that you've made someone you love happy.

By the way, Popeye is sooo cute~! I hope the potty training is going well. I do have to question you're sanity too. The things we do for those we love...
