Company company and company. That seems to be all that I am blogging about lately. Well throw in a little morning sickness blues and that is my running theme lately...hehehe I'm sure it must be hard for a lot of you to relate to. It has left my head reeling too, which is why I am blogging about it, I guess.
Lee and Cherrie left at the crack of dawn today. They came in to our lives, and in eleven days lifted an incredible burden. One of loneliness, fear of the unknown, and worry. Even though I would happily tell you that I know that the Lord brought us here for a reason, Satan always creeps into your mind and raises little red flags of doubt. He is cruel that way. However, through much prayer, the Lord comes to our rescue again and again. I am truly thankful to those who listen to the Lord's whispers and come running to do His work.
I thought about how much company we have had since we have moved here. It has been full of blessings, and yet a lot of hard work. It has altered me, already. I think if I had known that I would move here, that it would have been the whirlwind that it has been, I would have clung to the siding of my house, on the mountain, a little tighter than I did....hehehe. God knows what to show me, and what NOT to show me. I am not complaining about the company, or the hospitality, I am just saying I don't think I could have handled it, but the Lord knew I could. Thankfully, he didn't give me time to dwell on it and worry about it all. He is good that way. Some things I want to know, and others are better to just experience as you go.
The greatest joy in having all the company that we have had is what I have been hearing from my boys. Especially my older boys. Well....you know what....it is coming from all my sons, with the exception of Roman (who can't really have a conversation yet)...lol. River has offered up some beautiful prayers at the dinner table thanking the Lord for the company and the strength it has brought him. When he hears of those that may come he gets excited. The boys are learning hospitality, and what it looks like to care for others, and I mean that from both sides of the fence. Our company has healed us and brought us joy as much as I hope that we have brought them.
My life has taken a huge turn since we got here. We have had very little time to just sit and think about US. This has been a good thing. We realize that we are more of a cog in the wheel, then the wheel itself. I am also expecting baby number six, and my morning sickness has been lifted like no other pregnancy I have had. It has increased my faith. God knows where my threshold of endurance is and never pushes me past it. Thank you Lord.
I like who we are here. At times I have cried. At times I have feared. At times I have been exhausted, but mostly I have rejoiced. God is pushing the wheel in the right direction, at the right speed, and I am just clinging to the side of it, with all the confidence that we will end up exactly where we are supposed to be. I can't wait to see the final destination!

A beautiful post!! I don't think I could handle all the company that you have had ~ it would stress me out! ha!! You seem to take everything in stride!!
Homeschool question: When do you start back? (You did take a summer break too? right?)
Hope your morning sickness continues to be light! Hugs!
Lori: LOL...well with five boys, homeschooling, and company taking things in stride is the only way to stay sane...hehehe
We normally start back to homeschooling after Labor Day. I prepare and buy all our goodies before then, but then we kick it into gear. The countdown is beginning!
I feel like I could have written the last two paragraphs. Then I looked at your profile and we just moved to Oregon a year ago! God is so faithful. I will be praying for you through this pregnancy. I know it is hard. God bless!
Just so you know...I tagged you! After I did it, I thought she probably has enough on her plate so if you don't get to it I'll understand.
Oh, and friend of mine who is pregnant said that her doctor said that sometimes girls can cause more morning sickness due to the increased hormones. Take it for what it is...what someone else said. ;) I really hope that gets better for you ASAP.
I so enjoyed my time there. It was like being home again. Thank you for all the hospitality that you had towards us. Praying that the Lord shows us all the final destination SOON I don't do good with waiting. lol
Very good example. I know that company almost always makes us happier, it is usually the anticipation of the work, etc. that can be worrisome. It is amazing how God has worked through you there.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, Trina! It sounds like you guys are staying busy, and are being blessed with lots of company. It is such a rewarding feeling to be able to show hospitality, and it's so good for the kids. I hope you continue to feel better!
Wow, Trina! That's a lot of company! You are a stronger woman than I...morning sickness + company...I think my family would have woke up one morning to find I moved into a hotel for a week. Or more. ;-)
I'm so glad you're feeling better this time. I've been praying for you daily.
You're amazing...pregnant...five boys...homeschooling and company. I think you're doing great.
I am really glad that your morning sickness is better than usual. You seem to be extremely busy. I love to hear how the Lord works in others lives.
