Sunday BBQ

I realized that I needed to post about Sunday and all the company that came in before I forgot.

After Den and I went to the coast on Saturday, we got up Sunday morning and raced home for church. Den and I had invited all the brethren from our little assembly over for a bbq after meeting. When we arrived at church the place was packed. What a huge blessing to see our little meeting room so full of brethren.

So here is the list of people besides our home brethren:

Bro. Lloyd and Sis. Christina
Bro. Travis and Sis. Wynona and their three children
Bro. Dale and Sis. Chantel and Andy
Bro. Walt N.
Sis. Linda M.

We were using all the chairs that were available to us and it felt amazing.

After church, everyone came over for hamburgers and hotdogs. Den stayed busy on the grill outside, and the sisters and I stayed busy setting out side dishes and condiments. It was awesome!

We counted all the people that filled the house that day and we came up with 32! We thought we may feel alone here, but the Lord is providing us with lots of good company. Thank you Lord for filling my guest book!

That is awesome, Trina! Is this a new church that you guys started? Or a small church that you are building up? Sounds like you guys have become quite the fishers of men! :D

Love the guestbook. Chantel said meeting was "hopping" Love that too. So glad God is blessing that assembly, it holds such a spot for me.

Angel: Well there were a few here, and it has been growing since we got here. God has been blessing our numbers.

Gale: It does for me too! Den and I drove around before heading to the coast and it was pretty nostalgic. Great memories!

Anonymous: I dont like to get in the habit of responding to anonymous commenters. As you can imagine it feels very one sided, and a bit unfair. As I am an open book, and well, they are not. Feel free to email me though and we can get to know each other better! Thanks! =0)

Hopping on before company comes in after meeting, I beat them home because of the sweet baby. Yep.

I know the Lord is going to bless you Trina. I felt it while we visited daily, I felt it enough that I became calm, when I realized you would not move here. Why kick against the pricks, when the Lord has a different plan. So I stopped kicking. And I also have a calm about Portland. I love you both and may the church grow in the Lord.

Family and good company - what more can you ask for?

Trina said...

Michelle: Yeah, it is such a warm feeling to be around everyone and knowing that everyone is enjoying themselves, or so you hope, right?

Michelle: Those slow meetings can become discouraging at times. I hope and pray that things pick for you guys. You know there is always room on this side of the mountain for you...hehehe

Sis: Well your faith in it all gave me so much courage and comfort and I have been grateful that I have been able to lean on it.

Oh yeah...the names you listed are on your blogroll now!

labellina: You are so right, its the simple things that make life sweet!

That is so great!! Having the brothern in my home is such a joy to me too.

I'm so glad to hear you had such a good meeting. You may have to invest in some more chairs before to long....you know our family takes 8.

Marisela: 8? I think we can swing that........somehow...LOL!
