One Of My Favorite Hymns

Today, after our company all left, I decided to sit down with my recording software and try my hand at recording myself singing one of my favorite hymns, that I sing all the time. Then I decided to put a couple of harmonies with myself. It was fun, easy, and certainly not perfect! I have been wanting to make a little hymn cd forever though, but just havent had the means to do a quality recording. Now I can...yippeee!

This song is one I grew up hearing my sister, mom and the brethren singing. I just love the words. Isn't it amazing how certain songs that you grew up listening to your parents, and loved ones singing embed themselves into your heart? Well this is one, of many, that has done exactly that to me.

(The next challenge was to see if I could upload it to my blog, and I think I have been successful. I sure hope so. If so, click on the song below. This was a hoot!)

Just got done listening to it, and okay okay, so it doesn't sound like a QUALITY recording on here! LOL It sounded better before I uploaded it for sure, but STILL it's a feat for me to have been able to put it on here at all. Three cheers for another learning curve on the computer!

Trina ,It was wounderful to hear you sing!As was it so wounderful to hear your son River get up at church and read the scripture at sundays meeting.I'm sure you heard about that.It was so buetyful to be able to see our young ones doing things in church. And seeing him ,I could see and hear so much of you and Den .It's just such a blessing , another thing to thank the Lord for.

Nadine: Thank you!

Michelle: I did hear about it! It would have been better to have heard it first hand though. It is soooo neat to see the young ones going the right way. Such a comfort!

Michelle: Your youth choir sings that? How cool! The words just get me.

Kim: I did get it to work, and it was a miracle...hahaha We have this REALLY cool software called Cubase. Have you heard about it? Kim, you should get it!!

Lori: I was just as in awwww with myself...rofl! Sheer determination to figure it out! It sounds like you guys had a blast down there! And hey, you are very welcome to come up sometime.
