They Say, " Where Are The Miracles?"

Today was another day full of miracles. It ended like a fairytale, but the beginning and the middle were more like a thriller. You see Den and I haven't had the money to move, well not entirely, actually not even close really. However, we both knew that God was in this move, and that He would work it out, if we only had faith. You see faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. This is one of my favorite scriptures to live by. So we had FAITH that God would see us through, we had HOPE that things unseen would take place, and they did.

We woke up this morning, knowing that we would need to run to Wenatchee to get a small loan for our move. We actually figured the amount that we would get would just be the icing on the cake, you know just in case we got into a little jam, we would have this EXTRA to lean on. Well oddly, this loan was our saving grace in this move.

After we signed the paperwork, we went to the two jobs to meet with the two different companies who owed us a tidy little sum. We knew the likelihood of one of them paying was close to none, for he is always one who is dishonest and delinquent in his bills, but we had faith, right? Sadly, Den no sooner got out of the vehicle, and this man stormed out of the building, told Den to shove his bill and to just sue him. Den held his tongue very well, and climbed back into the suburban with me. He was furious, but we managed to drive on down the road. The next man, (who is a good friend of man number one) had told us that he didn't have the money either, but to see him tomorrow and he would see what he could do. Feeling a wee bit desperate, we headed for home. As we drove for home, we felt a little defeated, but knew that God is still God, and that something would work out.

After getting home, to a house full of packed boxes, a Uhaul truck that was to be rented Wednesday, and first, last and deposit to still be paid, I felt quite glum. I went straight to my bedroom, and fell on my bed. Den came in and said that he wanted to read me a little bit of scripture. I sat up on my bed, and he dragged the bible off the top of the dresser. He read about how God knows when even a sparrow falls to the ground, and that even the hairs on our head are numbered. Also, that vengeance is mine saith the Lord, and that we were to leave this in God's hand, and all would work out. We both prayed about things, and once done we mentioned that we DID have things for sale, if only God would allow them to sell, we would be okay.

Now, I am NOT exaggerating when I tell this part of the story, believe me! Directly after, the phone rang, and it was a man calling about our travel trailer that we had JUST put into town this weekend, and only put the "for sale" sign in the day before. Would we mind coming down so he could take a look at it? Den quickly said sure, rummaged to find the title,(just in case), and out the door he ran. Twenty minutes later, he calls me to say that a new minister in town bought our trailer. He offered us $400.00, and when Den told the man that we decided to take whatever God offered us for it, he offered us another $100.00, and so it was sold for $500.00. I cried with gratitude and amazement, and Den reassured me that God was working and we would get enough, to just wait and see.

After Den got home, and we talked about the wonder of it. Then a man showed up, that Den had called the day before, to take a look at all of Den's leftover electrical stuff. Den walked outside to join him, and took him to the shop to show him our leftover inventory. He offered it to the man for $1000.00, and the man gleefully accepted. He wrote us out a check right there on the spot. Den came back into the house, and we said that is enough. We can make it on that! Shortly after, a brother from our church came up, and bought our utility trailer as well.

So why does God do all these things for us? Is it because we are so special, and this move is so significant? No, its because when we remember to ask God to be the author of things, He jumps at the chance. Are we not more important than many sparrows? Absolutely, for the bible says so.

That is great news. God is always willing to help he just wants us to ask and have faith. And its amazing what he will do if we just give him the opportunity.

Nothing is impossible with God. I cant wait to hear about your new adventures at the new assembly and new town. Most of all I cant wait to hear more of what God is working in your life. It is a wonderful thing when God moves you to a new place for his purpose. He did that for us and it has taken some time but I am finally settling in.

I'm glad God worked out the details today Trina.

Strangely enough we are a wee bit tight on money right now too. I listed our travel trailer online last night for $500 (and a few other things.) I hope someone will buy it soon!
