More House Pics (The Continuing Saga)

Here is the red sectional, again with the wall unfinished, but we're getting there, I promise. Anyway I bought a matching rod for above the window and a valance, but it was the wrong size. So I will be exchanging them for something else soon.

Here are my soft striped rugs. The pics are blurry, but I have a very moody camera.

I bought striped valances to go over both the dining room and kitchen window. I know, I know....these pictures aren't great.

This is the computer area, and where the toys are for the baby, and any other babies that come over to play (of course). The drapes are red tapestry with some gold and sage green in them. I bought a sage green wrap to drape over the top. I am really happy with the look. Ohhh...and there is my computer, where I blog, blog and blog....hehehe

Well I'm up at a ridiculously early hour, as you can see by my dark windows in some of the pictures. I'm up at the crack of dawn, because we have company coming in today, and my mountain of laundry won't wait. In fact, I'm pretty sure it produces offspring while we sleep, so I'm up to try to catch the laundry in the act.
So yesterday we went through the house to do our deep cleaning, that has to be done before we let anyone stay over...hehehe We try to make it look like this is how we live everyday, but come on, I have six males in this house. They do all pitch in, however, and so this makes having hospitality much more enjoyable.

So anyway, if any of you have been following my remodel from my other blog, I thought I would put up some more pics of the drapes, valances, and rugs that I have chosen for the main area of our home. Since all the rooms shown are open to each other I stayed within the same color family. I really like all the warmth that it brings to this space, and so far, all the boys are as pleased as pie too. (That's relatively easy though.) Decorating is my girly domain in this house! hehehe

P.S. Make sure you share your opinions!

Oh know Trina...a moody camera means one of two things. It is either going to break or...
someone dropped it in the turlet while you where gone yesterday!
Enjoy your company!

I LOVE to decorate. And your house is SO cute. You've done a great job. I love looking at everyone's houses. Is there a way to make that into a business. Let me come in and see what your house looks like, and then I'm done. I can't help you, but thanks for letting me look. See ya. That would ROCK!!!

Hey Trina, I have finally found you. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to get to your blog (homeschoolblogger) and it would run so long it would time out. I have had problems getting to quite a few blogs and thought at first it was my dinosaur of dial up. Last night for the first time I was able to get yours to come in and also Cheryl's to find that you both had moved. lol There are a few that I still can't get to and some that it won't let me post a comment to. Anyway I have finally found you I've missed your posts. By the way I love the new furniture!

Take Care,
Vickie

I have to say that I agree with you about the laundry. And I'm not even the one who does the laundry in this house! Mom does! I'm sure she agrees with you, too, although she didn't say so in her comment.

Have a good time with the company!
(I think I know who it is???)...hehehe...

I like what you've done! I have a red theme in my living room and kitchen (the two rooms flow together) so I really like what you've done!

And my camera is moody too. I need a non-moody camera!

Hi there Trina!
Oh goodness I've missed ya! HSB has been so slow lately that I just plain gave up on visiting anyone. I moved too. =)
Anyway, your cough is so rich and inviting! I love it. Let me lay there all day and I won't disturb you, I promise! Your house looks lovely, too. You have a special touch to decorating your home!
Hugs to you,
Leah

Looking fabulous! Much the color scheme as my kitchen/dining/family room. I'm still praying for my red couch though!

Hi Sis!

Loving how you mixed the country look with city red. I always love what you have done through the years. A little piece of heaven on that mountain top.

Hey Trina! You are such a decorator, and I am so not. My "decor" is library--books everywhere.
Maybe someday I'll post about our newest daughter's birth.
