This baby is DEEEElicious! I am enjoying him so much. I whisper a sweet thank you to the Lord all the time. I look at him and he smiles the sweetest two-toothed smile. His chub is irrestible to me. I want to take him all in. I find myself lightly nibbling on his neck and his tummy every chance I get just to see him get goosebumps and giggle. I remind myself to be merciful and to not do it too long...lol.
Last night, everyone was ready for bed. Den brought Boaz upstairs in his tight fitting pjs. They were the kind of pjs that let you see all the pudge that a baby should don. Den had him cradled in his arms. The room was dark with the bright moon as its only illumination. I could make out Boaz's eyes as they sleepily looked at me. They were so round, dark, and innocent. Although his eyes were moving about the room his body was still and soft. Den was in heaven. He laid him in between us in the bed. He normally sleeps in his pack-n-play that is in the corner of our room, but Den couldn't bare to lay him down all by himself. I laughed a little. Den doesn't get to see him as often as I do and so I understood his need to take him in just a wee bit longer.
Den said, "Ohhhh Trina, he is our last baby." I said, "I know." He said, "He is growing up too fast. I feel like I can't enjoy him enough with as quickly as he is growing." I agreed with him. We laid there as he snuggled up to Den. His eyes were still open but that was the only tell-tale sign that he was awake. His contentedness was contagious and we could have laid there inhaling his babiness for hours, but eventually we all gave way to sleep. Yes, he slept in bed with us that night, and he did rather well.
The next morning, he was happy to see us. He is beginning to pull himself up in to the crawling position. He pushes his feet off whatever body is closest to him, and smiles at the other person he is facing, while he makes sufficient baby noises to fill the morning air. Those are the moments......

Sigh!! It makes me miss the baby phase!
You know how little time you have before they move on to the toddler then preschool days, then...
So enjoy that sweet, dreamy, chubby, baby stage. I know the Lord has blessed you with a good content baby too. Life is good.
Precious! Oh, how I miss having babies.
Awww... YOu're giving me serious baby fever ;) I really don't need that yet, LOL. I'm so glad that you're enjoying him so much. I can't believe he already has teeth. It seems like you JUST had him. I can't wait to see him in person, although he may not even be a baby anymore before that happens.
BTW, you're not upset with me, are you??? I haven't gotten a comment from you in like 3 months. just making sure ;)
What a sweet family moment to have captured!
Thankfully, I know exactly how that feels right now! ;-)
Awww, how sweet! I've had moments somewhat like that with my siblings, and I can't imagine how much more so they would mean when they are actually my own children! Babies are just lovely.
