Big Plans

The next few days will be very busy around here. So much so that I am a little bit nervous about it all, however I am sure it will all work out like it usually does.

We have a grave site service for a very dear sister who used to live in this assembly many years ago. Her name is/was Sis. Betha. She was near and dear to our hearts. I remember going to her house many times as a teenager, with all the rest of our church teenagers, just to hang out on a Sunday afternoon. She was a widow back then, but she didn't let that discourage her or slow her down. She had four children of her own, and she was determined to show them the faith. Den, even, lived in her basement when he first struck out on his own, and was engaged to me. So Monday we (the brethren in the northwest) will be saying goodbye. I am not sure how many brethren to expect, but I know based on past experiences it will be a LOT. The brethren are very good about supporting each other in times of need. So the three other sisters and I are making the plans, finding the community building, and deciding how to feed over a hundred people.

Then, Mrs. Martin and her entire family are coming from Oklahoma. We haven't seen them in two years. I haven't even laid my hands on her chubby baby yet, so I am very excited! Well I have to say that my entire family is beaming and can hardly wait, as well. They will be staying for a couple of weeks (although they will be making the rounds to other places and assemblies in this time too), and then I believe her plan is to stick around until my baby is born. We are on the edge of a lot to do, and a lot of excitement.

I don't know if I will make it out to the gravesite since the sisters and I will be preparing for the potluck on Monday, but I will try to get some great photos of our get together afterwards. We appreciate any and all prayers so that this will go smoothly for everyone, but especially for the family who lost Sis. Betha.

Remember that as good as the brethren are about coming, they are also good about bringing food. I know that all of us are bringing. So glad that you get to see your family, hope we get a little glimpse. See you Monday. (Lord willing)

YEAH!!! That is sooo exciting that your sister is coming! I may just have to take another trip to Oregon to get to see her. I havent seen her since the Brewster Camp Meeting 3-4 years ago. It would be too sad to have her this close and not see her! Hummm, guess I have something else to pray about! Maybe the Lord will work it out!

I am finally blogging again, who knew putting the computer out of sight would have such an impact on my blogging. Maybe I should put the fridge out of sight too. He he...

I am looking forward to seeing the brethren on Monday and saying good bye to Sis Betha too. We all loved her so much. I hope we make it, but who knows at the rate we are going. So slow today.

I love you and pace YOURself. I was slower than molasses at your stage and I didn't feel guilty about it. I was... what I was. I know my family thought it was so sweet to see their fast paced mom slow Way down.

Planning on leaving tonight. Bye...

It is never easy to lose someone you love, but it is easier when you know they are now resting in the arms of Jesus. I hope that thought brings some comfort you during this time of loss.

How exciting that you are having friends coming to visit! That is always a good thing. Only you would be entertaining and organizing pot lucks and such this close to your due date. You truly are amazing!

I hope that you and the baby are both doing well. I know I can't wait to see if a little boy bundle or girl bundle is coming into your lives. Either way, that baby is blessed!
