Just Gonna Keep Going

I'm deeply thankful for the peace that I have. Things creep into my mind daily, but with the Lord I am able to put them back in their seat where they belong. I could spend so much time worrying about things that I can't control that I give up a really great day and don't see the beautiful things in my life. I was doing that for awhile, but through fasting and prayer the Lord gave me this sweet peace of mind about most things.

I was thinking about how much keeps changing. The boys were excited that I was writing and posting pictures on my blog again. I know that it has meant a lot to Den, and I guess even the boys, that I keep this family journal going, but I wasn't sure if I should keep putting my life out there. Although the other day I had put some photos up and my boys began to flip through the old archives on their own and reminiscing about the sweet memories. Levi would read an old post than volunteer to read it aloud for the rest of us. It meant the world to me. I mean it literally meant the world to me. Having these memories and moments in our lives preserved has been the best investment of my time.

Abram stood by the chair as a story was being read aloud about him when he was four and he was mesmerized. The older boys recalled the tale vividly and after reading it aloud began to fill in even more details from their own recollection. It was sweet and it was a powerful reminder to me to keep going with this old blog.

I was going through past pictures with the boys too and we all couldn't believe how much 4 years has changed us all. Levi wasn't a little boy anymore as in the photographs and life has a way of marching on quickly.

I also realized how much our little assembly has grown in 3 years. We came here to only 2 brothers and now we have: Den and I (5 sons at home), Rusty and Mary (4 kids), Mike and Tammy (2 girls), Sean and Marisela (6 kids), Naomi, Matt and Tisha (5 kids), Doyle, Elvin, and Brian, Josh and Bridgette (1 baby), River and JilleeAnna, and Billy and Barbara (6 kids).

Ohhhh how the Lord has had a plan for this assembly! Ohhhh how He has had a plan for our lives. It's scary sometimes to leap, but it feels so good when you get to the other side.
